Furniture maker sees online sales boost

A UK wide bespoke furniture manufacturer based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire has seen a major sales boost after teaming up with a digital marketing agency.

After investing in a brand-new e-commerce website that has enabled the company to sell its furniture online for the first time since it was established in 2012, Parker Howley & Co partnered with Vizulate Digital for the implementation of a Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Google Ads strategy that has helped generate an additional £70,000 in sales in the three months since the website went live.

Established in 2012, Parker Howley & Co employs a small team of designers, carpenters and craftsmen and prides itself on using 100% raw materials to craft bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room furniture.

The business had built up a large and loyal following on social media, which was further helped by some organic mentions from several influencers and celebrities.

Scott Brant, Operations Director at Vizulate Digital, said: “The fact that Parker Howley & Co has grown its audience organically and without a website to date is testament to the reputation it has created for itself using social media.

“Customers now have a dedicated website where they can place their orders, and the search engine marketing campaign will enable Parker Howley & Co to reach new audiences.”

Mike Howley, co-director at Parker Howley & Co, said: “Launching our website was a major step for the brand, as until recently we had grown our audience organically by establishing our reputation with a strong social media presence.

“However, we recognised the potential increase in sales that launching an e-commerce site with an accompanying SEO and Google Ads strategy could deliver.

“We were confident that the team at Vizulate would help drive sales and grow the business further through the e-commerce site, and they have certainly helped us to achieve that. The results we have achieved so far have been brilliant.”

Brant added: “Investing in e-commerce and a targeted digital marketing campaign is a big deal for a company that has operated without a website since its launch, but we have been pleased to support the team in identifying and implementing a strategy that has taken sales to the next level.”
