B&M store expected to open in September

Discount furniture and homeware retailer B&M is likely to be the first store to open at the new Sheldon Retail Park in Birmingham.

Developers said it is expected that the store will open in September. It has been handed over to B&M to be fitted out.

An M&S Food Hall and The Gym are also on track to be launched in September or October.

Chase Midlands Estates first unveiled plans to build retail units on the land, which is adjacent to its completed £50m Morrisons supermarket, in 2014.

The scheme is the second phase of the company’s development at the former Seven Trent Water site.
